Sappers successfully deactivate a 100kg-bomb at Quang Binh
Sappers from the Truong Son Bomb and Mine Disposal Centre of Army Corps 12 of the Ministry of National Defence and the Military Command of Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province have recently detected and deactivated a 100kg-bomb left behind from the war in Tan Son hamlet, Son Hoa commune
The bomb was found about 2m deep underground, in Mr. Cao Trung Tuyen’s field and its detonator remained intact.
Mr. Cao Trung Tuyen said he has been growing cassava on this plot of land for 30 years now without knowing that the bomb had been lying deep under his field.
On January 8th, the centre also found and successfully deactivated two 360kg bombs in Bac Son hamlet, Son Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province.
